Emergency AGM 22 APR 24

To all Mumbles RFC members and supporters.

We would firstly like to thank each and everyone one of you for your continued support over the last few months. This message is to reassure you that Mumbles, as a Rugby Club, is going nowhere. On the field we have never been stronger, with over 300 junior section players and members, ladies and girls’ teams, walking rugby, and for the first time in years, a 1st and 2nd team playing most weekends.

In partnership with MCA we are creating facilities for Rugby to thrive in the village for years to come. All this is down to you, the incredible volunteers and members that continually put your time and effort, to make this club so great. Thank you.

Utilities and maintenance costs for both the clubhouse and the AWP in Underhill Park, however, are presenting challenges. As a result, we are exploring all options to try and reduce cost and get this club back to where it belongs, at the heart of the community, whether it be in the existing clubhouse or elsewhere. These options will be detailed, explored, and decided, at the EGM which we remind you is on Monday 22nd April 7.30 p.m. in the clubhouse, and we hope you can all attend. Our strength, as always, is our members, which are at record numbers. We appreciate you all, especially those who have offered to help, in so many ways, in the past months. Please come along and have your say in our future, on and off the field.

Thank you all for reading this important message.
